The Process

01.

Say hello

Submit an inquiry through the contact form below or directly email hello@morganalexisphoto.com. Please allow 48 hours for a response.

02.

Schedule a date

After discussing your ideas and dreams for your session, it's time to schedule a date. In order to be on Morgan Alexis Photography's calendar, a non-refundable retainer and signed contract is required.

03.

It's session time

Outdoor sessions are generally photographed during "golden hour" which is either one hour after sunrise or one hour before sunset. Studio session times vary, but are preferably booked in the late morning.

04.

Enjoy your gallery

Within 2 weeks after your session, your online gallery will be delivered for viewing and downloading your images. From there you can share and print your favorites to your heart's desire.

Newborn sessions are photographed in studio on weekday mornings. Other in studio sessions are generally photographed on weekday mornings or early afternoons with possible evening availability at client's request. Outdoor sessions are photographed on weekday evenings about 1-2 hours prior to sunset. Outdoor sessions can also be photographed at sunrise. Outdoor sessions are best photographed late May through late October.

When booking a session with Morgan Alexis Photography (MAP), images from your final gallery may be shared across MAP's social media/website. Please let us know in advance should you want your session kept private.

FAQ

How many pictures will we receive?

A.You will receive all good images back, fully edited and to include some black and white edits. The exact amount will vary from session to session. Generally, galleries are no less than 40 images and often upward 100+.

How should we dress for our family session?

A.If you know me, you know how much I love neutrals. This isn't just because I'm boring and don't want to see a pop of color. It's that neutrals photograph best in the studio and also photograph best outdoors with my editing style.

What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?

A.I prefer to photograph newborns between 10 and 21 days new, but I have photographed babies sooner and later.

We don’t feel very confident in front of the camera, is that ok?

A.Yes! 99% of clients that come to me aren't "comfortable" in front of the camera. Often, the first words clients say to me at their session is how "awkward" they are. Try to relax and trust the process. I'll guide you through some posed images and I will give prompts to get candids. The goal is for you to leave your session saying "that wasn't so bad."
